PORTSMOUTH — Yelp has released its list of the top 100 places to eat in New England, and six Seacoast New Hampshire and southern Mainerestaurants are on it, including a Portsmouth cafe.
Elephantine Bakery is rated the No. 4 place to eat in New England, based on Yelp's crowd-sourced reviews. Located at10 Commercial Alley in Portsmouth, the eatery is owned by Sherif and Nadine Farag. Open 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily, Elephantine is both a bakery and a restaurant that serves breakfast and lunch. You can also order a meal, cakes and cookies online atelephantinebakery.com.

Kong Thai in Seabrook is No. 29 in the top 100. Located at 781 Lafayette Road, Kong Thai is open for lunch, dinner and online ordering from 11 a.m. on. At No. 75 on the list is Chez Rosa in Kennebunkport, Maine. Located on Cross Street in Kennebunkport, Chez Rosa is a French bistro locally owned by husband and wife team, Chef Kyle Robinson and Yazmin Saraya Jean. Ringing in at No. 81 on the best New England eateries is Horseshoe Cafe in Newmarket. Located at 171 Main St., the bakery and cafe is open Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and Saturdays and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to dine in or take out. It touts items likeorange sourdough cinnamon rolls, Belgian chocolate milk rolls andbreads and breakfast sandwiches.
Ranking 95th is Durbar Square in Portsmouth. Located downtown at 10 Market St., the Himalayan restaurant is open for lunch and dinner Tuesday through Sunday. They do takeout, too, atdurbarsquareportsmouth.com.
